Practicum Outcomes
This amazing experience and great opportunity taught me that nothing can stop anyone from teaching and learning, not even culture, religion, nor language. Also, this practicum helped me to believe in myself that I can break any barrier between me and my students in order to have a more fruitful teaching-learning experience. Through this practicum, I gained more self-confidence and more pedagogical knowledge and skills that I can apply in the future in the real working environment. I am thankful that I had this opportunity to see different perspectives and different sides of teaching-learning environments. This practicum taught me a lot of lessons, but most especially life lessons.
Practicum Purposes
The purpose of this practicum, for me, is to give me experience in demonstrating my pedagogical knowledge and skills not only in Philippine classrooms but also in other country. It will always be an honor to be able teach in different country with students who have different nationality, culture, religion, and language. This SEA Teacher Project provided me the opportunity to be able to teach in different milieu as well as to learn from different perspectives. This practicum gave me many advantages in strengthening my teaching experiences, most especially in giving me positive outcomes that can help in my national and international endeavors.
Overall Impression
I can say that I had a meaningful and worthwhile practicum and experience in Bali, Indonesia since it provided me benefits and lessons that I can use in my career and daily life. I gained something for myself but most importantly is that I have met new friends that I can call my family. This SEA Teacher Project is a great door for every Pre-Service Teachers who really wants to have a more advanced and genuine international teaching experience. I could not think of better way to start my year than being in this practicum. I will be forever thankful for this experience.
